Reggio Emilia–Inspired
We view children as capable, curious, and full of potential. Our approach invites them to explore, inquire, and express themselves through projects, art, and deep engagement with their world.
🌿 A place where children grow naturally
On our beautiful 2-acre campus in Lynnwood, children explore, learn, and grow through hands-on play and active discovery — rain or shine.
Our Approach
Children’s brains develop most rapidly from birth to age five. Our program blends three research-based pillars to support school readiness and a love of learning.
We view children as capable, curious, and full of potential. Our approach invites them to explore, inquire, and express themselves through projects, art, and deep engagement with their world.
Our 2-acre campus is a living classroom. We spend part of each day outdoors—rain or shine—because nature builds resilience, inspires wonder, and supports holistic development.
Our staff are trained in Conscious Discipline, a trauma-informed, brain-based model that teaches emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, and connection-centered guidance—for children and adults alike.
Why Journey?

Nourishment
Every child enjoys breakfast, lunch, and two snacks each day—prepared in-house from scratch using locally-sourced, ~90% organic ingredients. Our chef even partners with teachers to compost, recycle, and grow food in the school gardens.
Rebuilding Together
On April 21, 2024, a fire displaced our school community. Today we are back home on our 2-acre campus—rebuilt stronger, with the same mission and the same heart that has always defined Journey.
