Curiosity is the starting point

Journey's preschool serves children ages two and a half to five. Project-based, play-rich days invite children to explore ideas rather than simply receive information. A question or an interest can become a reason to investigate, create, talk with others, and return to an idea in a new way.

This approach supports a love of learning alongside school readiness. Learning is not separated neatly into play on one side and academics on the other. Language, problem-solving, collaboration, and expression can develop within meaningful experiences that children actively help shape.

A community that grows together

Preschool classes "loop," staying together year over year. That continuity supports deep relationships and a smoother progression as children grow. Familiar peers and adults can provide a foundation from which children try new things, ask for help, and contribute to the group.

The school's Reggio-inspired approach, outdoor exploration, and Conscious Discipline inform this learning community. Portfolios help families see the thinking and growth behind a child's work. Ask teachers how they follow interests, support friendships, and make learning visible for your child's particular classroom.

Plan a supported transition

The school is open year-round, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm. Families can attend two to four days part-time or five days full-time, up to ten hours per day. Tuition includes meals, snacks, supplies, and curriculum. Confirm current preschool availability and classroom placement directly with Journey.

Join the waitlist to begin the enrollment conversation; tours take place when an opening is available for a family next in line. Bring questions about transitions, your child's interests, and how the school will partner with you. NAEYC's play resources below explain in much greater depth why playful learning matters across early childhood.
