Rebuilding Together

Stronger, with the same heart

On April 21, 2024, a fire displaced our school community. Today, we are rebuilt and back home—carrying forward the same mission, values, and love.

  1. Before

    A thriving community

For years, Journey School welcomed toddlers through first graders to a beautiful 2-acre campus full of fun, adventure, and learning.

  2. April 21, 2024

    The fire

A fire displaced our school community overnight. In an instant, families, teachers, and children faced an uncertain road ahead.

  3. The response

    Community rallied

Staff, families, and neighbors came together with extraordinary support, patience, and care—holding our community close through the hardest days.

  4. Today

    Home again, stronger

We are back on our 2-acre campus—rebuilt stronger, with the same heart and the same mission that has always defined Journey.

What never changed

Beautiful, inspirational classrooms. An appreciation of the natural world as co-teacher. Children, families, and teachers as one collaborative community. The belief that every child should feel safe, secure, and loved. We rebuilt the place—but the heart was never lost.
